Frequently Asked Questions
1. What can I expect at my free consultation?

Your free consultation is a 30 min conversation where we will discuss your motivations for seeking a personal trainer, your health and fitness goals, and any sport or training history you have, so that we can work together to create a realistic plan for you to achieve your goals. Your initial consultation is free, and does noty commit you to buying any blocks of training sessions unless you wish to do so.

2. What should I wear to my first session?

Trainers and comfortable clothing that will not restrict movement. It is recommended that you bring a water bottle with you to the session. You will have access to the gym changing rooms which include lockers, showers, and toilet facilities.

3. Where is the gym located?

I run sessions out of the PureGym Edinburgh Craigleith located in the Craigleith Retail Park on South Groathill Avenue EH4 2LN. The gym is a well equipped, modern facility with changing rooms that have showers and lockers available, and there is car parking immediatley outside the gym. Find the gym web page here

4. Do you work with older adults?

Yes, absolutely. No one is ever too old to start training, and maintaining strength, bone density, and joint mobility is a fundamental key to healthy and happy aging. With regular resistance training, older adults will be less likely to suffer injuries, more able to move freely and without pain, and enjoy a better quality of life.

5. How long is a PT session?

A PT session is one hour, which consists of a warm up, the main session, and a cool down phase at the completion of the main session. You should aim to be there, ready to begin a few minutes prior to the scheduled time so as to get the maximum time available. If you are late for a session, I am unable to go over time as other clients will be waiting for their session to begin.
